Mr Leallyn Fransman

Civil Engineer

A professional civil engineer with more than ten years’ experience in multi-disciplinary engineering projects, Leallyn is an associate principal in Bigen’s Real Estate Directorate in Cape Town and a Board member serving on the REMCO and Social and Ethics sub-committees. He is currently participating in the Bigen Future Technological Leadership programme.

As a civil engineer, he gained significant expertise in the engineering aspects of municipal services, landfill design and ICT planning and design and has supervised construction in the roads rehabilitation contracts for the South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL). Since joining Bigen in 2015, he has been involved in the design and construction of a range of infrastructure projects for public and private sector clients. His expertise in municipal infrastructure master planning and detail design serves Bigen well in delivering a range of preliminary design of engineering services and design optimisation projects, while his proficiency in document preparation and drawings add incalculable value to internal tender documentation processes.

Recognised for his project management ability, Leallyn also contributes consistently to Bigen’s successful completion of major projects. Key among these have included the De Hoop Estate (3,650 residential units) and Val de Vie Phase II (municipal services) projects locally and the Orenkoko Shipyard (sewage design and analysis) in Abuja, Nigeria.
